Billy Mack Ramer, 79, of Poteau, OK passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011 in Talihina, OK. Bill was born July 31, 1932 in Red Oak, OK to Alvin & Ila Beatrice (McAlester) Ramer. He was retired from Wister Schools. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Norval Ramer & Johnny McGowen. Bill loved horses and loved to trail ride.
Survivors include daughter, Karen Barragan of Santa Anna, CA; 2 grandsons; 3 sisters & brothers-in-law, Gail Morrison of Poteau, OK, Sue & Ronnie Burke of Broken Bow, OK, Phyllis & Rick Sanders of Howe, OK; brother & sister in law, Herman & Linda McGowen of Summerfield, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Summerfield Baptist Church, Summerfield, OK with Rev. Charles Caughern officiating. Interment will follow in Fanshawe Cemetery, Fanshawe, OK.
