Shoreline Trolley Museum in Connecticut

Shoreline Trolley Museum, East Haven, Connecticut.
December 2003

Ages and grades: 6 (1) and 3 (Pre-K)

This was an annual tradition for our family. My grandmother grew up riding the trolley as a main mode of transport until the rails were lifted and melted during World War II. This place has special signifcance for our family.

This is an inexpensive, fun, and stress-free way to have a visit with Santa Claus. You ride on the trolley as many times as you want and then sit with Santa and have hot cocoa and cookies. They usually give a small gift such as a board book or coloring book as a gift.

This is a fun family event.

If you visit in the summer you will also have a barn tour with a volunteer docent telling of the history of the various cars stored in the barns.
