Boothbay Railway Village, Boothbay, MaineEarly August 2003
Ages and grades: 5 (1) and 3 (Pre-K)
This was an interesting place. There were old buildings which were moved to this location, so it felt like you were walking in an old time village. However some shops had collections such as a giant salt and pepper shaker filled small building. A larger warehouse had antique cars, some could be sat in. A working train went around the grounds. A must for train lovers and great for kids and adults who are interested in railroads and old timey things. It is a combination of open field spaces in full sun and being under tall trees in shade.
