Raymond “Pop” Albertson Jr., 68, of Pocola, OK passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 in his home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Sr. & Cora Albertson. He was a mechanic. Raymond was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Raymond enjoyed racing at Tri-State Speedway and he especially enjoyed watching his sons race. Raymond was a man who cared deeply for family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa of the home; sons, Bobby Albertson & family of Murry Spur, OK, Raymond Albertson III and family of Pocola, OK; daughters, Mary Bradley of Hugo, OK, Teresa Griffin and Missy Malone of Paris, TX; brothers, Bill Albertson of Texas and David Albertson & family of Pocola; sisters, Mary Boykin of Soper, OK, Helen Davenport, Betty Risley & Gayle Kannady of Pocola, Beverly Wagner of Charleston, AR; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; many nephews and nieces; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Raymond was a bright light that will burn in our hearts forever. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
