Oran Lee Ross, 80, of Cameron, OK passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in Cameron, OK. Oran was born September 5, 1931 in Hackett, AR to Glenn & Grace Ray Ross. Oran was an engineer at Whirlpool where he retired after 37 years. He was on the Cameron City Council for 50 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 56 years, Earlene Ross and brother, Gene Ross.
Survivors include his daughter & son-in-law, Lea & Jim Ridenour of Cameron, OK; son, Byron Ross of Cameron, OK; grandchildren & spouses: Ross Ridenour & Candace Lett and Bryan & Angila Montgomery of Cameron, OK, John & Tabby Ridenour of Fayetteville, AR and Sara Ridenour of Cameron, OK; great grandchildren, Aiden Hildebrant of Fayetteville, AR, Ashley Montgomery, Isabelle Ridenour & Kloe Montgomery of Cameron, OK; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be 10 am, Monday, September 19, 2011 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, OK. Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Ross Ridenour, Bryan Montgomery, John Ridenour & son-in-law, Jim Ridenour.
The family will be at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 pm to visit with friends & relatives.
