James A. Lewallen, 67, of Poteau, OK passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in Poteau. James was born in Zoe, OK on January 21, 1944 to Marion J. & Lucinda J. (Dunn) Lewallen. HE was a farmer. James was a veteran of the US Army.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Williams of the home; Daughters, Rose Baker of Cuba, MO, Shella Turner of Cuba, MO; son, Melvin Turner of Chester, CA; grandchildren, Tamara Turner of McAlester, OK, Tonya Gates of McAlester, OK, Delilah Pahl of Chester, CA; many great grandchildren and nieces & nephews; sister, Nora Steelman; brothers, Orville Lewallen & Wayne Lewallen all of Poteau, OK.
Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the Oakland Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Interment will follow.
