Well, after all of this crazy snow (a foot more last night and more on the way), I finally broke down and decided that I needed to purchase some snow boots. Up to this point, I have been walking around the icy streets of Logan in not-so-great-for-winter shoes and I don't think I can stand another second of wet socks. The funny thing about deciding the first of February (!) that you need winter boots is that you are way behind the retail mindset. Winter boots are available in August-- right now, all of the stores are clearing out their winter gear to make way for the swim season. I went to three stores today and while they all had a few pairs of snow boots left, none were in my apparently high-demand size of 6.5. So, off to Lands End.com, where I found these beauts (only in black) for $34.99. You can't beat that. I'll have to wait a week or so to get them, but I don't think Mother Nature is letting up any time soon. Our seven day forcast calls for snow, snow, and more snow.
