Happy Memorial Day and JJasmin Interiors

I just wanted to pop in real quickly to first, wish you all a happy Memorial Day!

Second, to let you know we have restocked our 1776 pillow covers:

And third to introduce one of our newest sponsors:

Here is a little bit about Julie from her site: She is a designer, wife and mother of three. She was born in Los Angeles where she and her family lived here until a vacation to New England changed their lives. Her parents made the “fly by the seat of your pants” decision to hang up their keys to their 1973 MGB Roadster convertible and 1966 Volks Wagon beetle to buy a Suburban, with U-haul in tow and traveled with their three sweet California girls to lovely Vermont. They purchased a charming gentleman's farm, with a picturesque pond, actual acreage and a rustic barn that was quickly filled with blush pink pigs, hens, ducks, goats, a dog and even honey bees. With fresh beginnings on the farm, it officially began their journey of a true New England country life. Before moving to Vermont, her mother would often attempt to carve out any tiny morsel of a day and paint. Her easel would be strategically placed either in our 60's ranch style eat-in kitchen, nearby gathering room or just about anywhere that would guarantee her brush strokes would not be interrupted as she would inch her way closer to completing my interpretation of a masterpiece. It was from her that Julie began her lifelong fascination and passion for color, textures, expression, history and art.

She is now married to her high school sweetheart and has three children, who all have their own proverbial list of passions, at the top of Julie's being interior design and her everyday longings to master the fine skills of cooking and baking from chefs she admires from all over the globe. For over 10 years, she has had the privilege of transforming residential home's interiors, from the neglected small living spaces to children's rooms, kitchens, baths and commercial spaces. Her designs reflect a gathering of old and new, classic, timeless - not trendy, local and global, modern and traditional influences. For her, interior design is to evolve a backdrop for life to be lived well, with the understanding that creating a space that defines you will enrich your life.

Head on over to her blog and check it out!

I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day! We are so incredibly grateful to all of amazing men and women and their families who have and are making such extraordinary sacrifices for our freedom!
