Jimmy Cecil Walls, 75, of Shady Point, OK passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 in Ft. Smith, AR. JC was born July 5, 1936 in Cameron, OK to Jim Sam & Easter (Thompson) Walls. He was a minister and a carpenter. JC & Shirley were married for 57 years. He was a Pentecostal minister for over 50 years. JC was a loving father, husband, grand and great grandfather. He loved to play music with his special friends; he played at the Oaks Nursing Home for the last 15 years. JC played banjo, fiddle & guitar. He was an avid deer hunter; loved to garden and had a big heart for people. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tina Walls and brother Sidney Walls.
Survivors include his wife Shirley of the home; 3 sons & daughters in law, Sam & Donna Walls of Shady Point, OK, Tim & Debbie Walls of Panama, OK, Mark & Frances Walls of Shady Point, OK; 5 grandchildren & their spouses, Lorie & Josh Gillham of Poteau, OK, Josh & Julie Walls of Panama, OK, Chelsi & Drew Beard of Ardmore, OK, Kyle & Katy Walls of Poteau, OK, Nicholas Walls of Shady Point, OK; 4 great grandchildren, Mariah, Dylan, Jalynn & Bo; 4 sisters, Mattie Marshall of Kansas City, KS, Aline Cody & Betty Claunts of Cameron, OK, Wanda Weaver of Broken Arrow, OK; brother, Homer Walls of Poteau, OK; numerous nieces & nephews; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Solid Rock Pentecostal Church of God in Panama, OK with Rev. Tim Painter & Scott Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Panama, OK. Pallbearers will be Don, Bobby, Doyle, Craig, Michael, and Brian Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle & Josh Walls.
The family will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-6 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
